We are currently seeking candidates for our Dayton, Ohio location for:Accounting Specialist – Accounts Payable for Aerospace DivisionGeneral Responsibilities

• Daily research and input payables invoices and reconcile to accounting and bank records.
• Answer Vendor calls.
• Upon request, provide special reports reflecting current status of vendor accounts.
• Work closely with business to ensure all payments and intercompany transfers are balanced including Goods Received Not Invoiced.
• Match invoices paid to backup and ensure properly cleared on a timely basis.
• Voucher and Post to Account Payable module in ERP system.
• Process payments - including pulling invoices, mailing printed checks and sending electronic remittance notices.
• Prepare invoice deduction notices, as necessary.
• Audits freight bills against freight manifests.
• Print all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
• Coordinate weekly payment generation process and train peers as needed.
• Analyze vendor accounts and assist with negotiation of extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted.
• Prepare analysis of accounts and reconcile activity to General Ledger.
• Lead AP digitization process.
• Maintain paper filing system.
• Assist in monthly closings. Qualifications
  • Excellent keyboarding skills
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of computers
