Position: Staff Accountant Business Unit: Hartzell IndustriesLocation: Piqua, OH Department: FinanceReports To: Accounting Supervisor Date Created: 3/16/23Basic Function: A business partner adding value through the use of accounting knowledge and business acumen, while providing analytics and support to make data driven decisions. Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Work with the business team to apply and implement accounting policies and procedures.2. Coordinate and perform physical Inventory reconciliations, researching variances and discrepancies.3. Aid in the development of budgets and forecasts.4. Assist with audit activities.5. Month-end and year-end close responsibilities.6. Create and deliver ad-hoc analysis to management upon request.7. Participate in departmental projects and/or improvement activities as needed.8. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Required Skills:-- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required-- General understanding of basic accounting principles-- Excellent math and accounting skills-- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite-- Excellent verbal and written communication skills-- Must have excellent influencing skills, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills PI208446684
