company.What You'll Be Doing:As the Controller you will be an
integral member of our senior leadership team directing and
managing the financial activities to assist management and others
in making educated financial decisions for the company. You are
responsible for financial reporting including, but not limited to,
internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits,
and annual budgets. You will oversee accounts payable, purchase
orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash control, payroll
processing and corporate payroll tax compliance. The Controller
will manage and lead the accounting staff responsible for AR, AP,
and payroll. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: --- Oversee and
direct budgeting, banking, audit, tax, accounting and insurance
activities, including personnel and protection against property
losses and potential liabilities--- Manages third party
relationships to include Banking, Audit, Government Regulatory
Agencies, and Insurance Brokers--- Prepare reports summarizing and
forecasting company business activity and financial position in
areas of cash, income, expenses, and earnings based on past,
present, and expected operations--- Analyze, consolidate and direct
all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and
routine reports.--- Analyze financial records to forecast future
financial position and budget requirements--- Evaluate need for
procurement of funds and investment of surplus--- Direct
determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.---
Advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax
code revisions.--- Establish and recommends major economic
objectives and policies for company to management.--- Develop
policies and procedures for account collections and extension of
credit to customers.--- Advise management on investments and loans
for short- and long-range financial plans.--- Arrange for audits of
company's accounts.--- Prepare financial reports for management.---
Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.--- Assure
corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely
completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full
advantage of all favorable tax codes.--- Establish and maintain
systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems,
processes and data, and enhance the company's value.--- Assist
General Manager and COO as assigned with accurate and timely work
and participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a
variety of special reports.--- Manage the company's deferred
compensation plan.--- Act as co-fiduciary on the company's 401K
plan.--- Participate in the management/accruals of the company's
self-funded insurance plan.--- Prepare and report the company's
financial position quarterly to the Board of
Directors.Requirements:Education:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of
four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and
experience.Skills/Qualifications/Experience: 4-8 years of
increasing responsibility in Accounting or Finance. Experience in
manufacturing highly preferred. Advanced competency/knowledge of
Microsoft Office products. Strong interpersonal and leadership
skills. Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve complex
financial issues. Excellent analytical skills. Knowledge of
Contribution Margin and experience applying the concepts in a
manufacturing setting. Experience with Business Intelligence
systems, preferably Microsoft Power BI.
