ColumbusWhat you'll do:The major focus of the 3rd Party Management
program is to ensure our external providers are performing to the
same high standards that Western Alliance Bank holds itself
accountable to including client service, quality, control,
regulatory compliance, business resiliency and protection of
information.This role will be responsible for supporting the 3rd
Party Management program for a portfolio of Services providers
supporting select business functions - e.g., Technology, Lending,
Banking, Corporate Functions. This professional will be responsible
for the full 3rd party lifecycle including risk assessment, due
diligence and ongoing monitoring. This professional will also be
responsible for managing select 3rd party relationships with a
particular focus on Critical / High Risk relationships.This
individual will partner with service requestors within the
Business, the second line 3rd party risk management program, and
other key stakeholders to ensure that the management of risk are
effectively identified, monitored, and mitigated to achieve
business objectives. This role will also include understanding and
dissemination of regulatory requirements and reporting to key
internal stakeholders. Additionally, this professional will
situationally support vendor selection activities in partnership
with service requestors. This includes a formal strategic sourcing
methodology and engagement with the marketplace for Requests for
Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Requests for
Quote (RFQ) in accordance with company procedures.What we are
looking for: What you will do:
- Third-Party Portfolio Management: Adhere to 3rd Party Risk
Management guidelines through the execution of policies and
procedures throughout the lifecycle of a third-party vendor
relationships. Ensure strong oversight of vendor risks and provide
insight on existing and potential risks. Provide initial and
on-going due diligence review on third party vendors to ensure risk
are identified and applicable standards.
- Third-Party Supplier QBR and Scorecard: Conduct Quarterly
Business Reviews and ensure scorecards are structured to allow
proper oversight and monitoring of the third party that
commensurate with the level of risk and complexity of the
relationship. Partners with Business Units and Vendor partners on
corrective action or remediation efforts including Performance
Improvement Plans.
- General Sourcing and Negotiations: Develop and bring best
practices into the RFP process. Host RFP events such as
service\\product demonstrations, question-answer sessions,
elimination round conversations, and contract award scenarios.
Facilitate contract review and negotiation between the Supplier,
Business Sponsors, and Legal. Redline general business terms for
SLA performance, pricing, discounts, risk of loss, and
payment.
- Mentor-Leader: As an experienced individual contributor provide
mentorship, education, and guidance on best practice approaches
with other levels on the team. Be comfortable in a highly visible
role and a proponent of challenge or change.
- Partner with Business Sponsors and Key Stakeholders: Assist
line of business (LOB) supplier sponsors. Provide advisory services
around selection and negotiation strategies. Provide spend
intelligence and optimization opportunities within a sub-set of
suppliers or categories of spend. Help the LOB define periodic
business review objectives, and performance scorecards to guide
such business reviews. Act as a primary liaison with Supplier
Account Teams, VMS Risk Assessment, Project Management, Legal and
Finance. Assist in budgetary costing for proposed business
cases.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with
regulatory compliance risk assessments and related infrastructure
enhancementsWhat you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Finance.
- 7+ years' direct experience in strategic sourcing, procurement
and or 3rd party management
- Subject Matter Expert in banking regulations related to 3rd
Party Risk Management required, experience with Information
Technology portfolios preferred.
- Advanced skills in computer productivity programs (GRC
Platforms, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proven track record of establishing a proactive, constructive
dialogue and partnering with professionals internally and
externally. Excellent oral and written communication skills,
including ability to effectively communicate with internal staff
and external customers.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and
maintain productive relationships across the organization.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills; consultative and
collaborative work style.
- High learning agility with the ability to learn and integrate
multiple business variables, make connections, and recommend
credible solutions. High quality orientation; strong attention to
detail.
- Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
