Job Description:
McLane Company, a leader in the supply chain management sector
with a robust focus on grocery and foodservice supply chain
solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join
our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring
accurate and timely financial records and reports, aiding in
critical decision-making processes to support our extensive network
of over 80 distribution centers across the United States. The ideal
candidate will be comfortable handling large datasets and able to
thrive in a fast-paced environment. Prepare monthly balance sheets,
income statements, and profit and loss statements. Maintain the
general ledger and oversee ledger reconciliation. Ensure accuracy
of financial documents and compliance with relevant laws and
regulations. Assist with audit preparations and resolve any
discrepancies identified. Analyze financial data and provide
forecasting support. Report on company financial health and
liquidity. Streamline accounting functions and operations. Develop
periodic financial reports for management and regulatory agencies.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software like
QuickBooks or SAP. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and
communication skills. Ability to work closely with other team
members and departments. Strong attention to detail and an aptitude
for numbers. Effective time management and organizational skills.
