About Us We are a small, family-owned commercial real estate
company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our team is hands-on,
collaborative, and focused on long-term relationships, with both
our clients and our people. We are seeking an experienced Contract
Underwriter to support our growing commercial real estate
portfolio. Position Summary The Contract Underwriter will be
responsible for underwriting and analyzing commercial real estate
transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
This role works closely with ownership and internal stakeholders
and is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, self-directed, and
comfortable working in a small-business environment. Key
Responsibilities Analyze commercial real estate loan requests and
investment opportunities Review financial statements, rent rolls,
operating statements, and tax returns Prepare underwriting models,
cash flow analyses, and credit memos Assess risk, collateral value,
and borrower financial strength Ensure underwriting aligns with
internal guidelines and investor requirements Communicate findings
clearly to internal decision-makers Support due diligence and
closing processes as needed Qualifications Proven experience
underwriting commercial real estate transactions Strong financial
analysis and modeling skills Solid understanding of CRE concepts
(NOI, DSCR, cap rates, valuation, etc.) High attention to detail
and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and
meet deadlines Experience working with small teams or family-owned
businesses is a plus Contract Details Contract position (duration
and hours flexible based on business needs) Competitive contract
compensation, commensurate with experience Hybrid may be considered
for the right candidate BA in either Finance, Accounting, Business
Administration or Economics Preferred
