Job Title: Administrative Professional (Senior)
Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio
Job Summary: BMA is seeking an Administrative Professional (Senior)
to provide support to The Air Force Research Laboratory Materials
and Manufacturing Directorate (AFRL/RX), Wright-Patterson Air Force
Base, Ohio, to provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS)
to supplement government organic resources in the accomplishment of
the goals, objectives, and priorities associated with the
Directorate. This position provides onsite business and operations
support to the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Materials and
Manufacturing Directorate (RX). This position will independently
manage, assist and provide support to highly visible program
offices on a variety of mission-critical tasks relating to
soliciting proposals from small businesses to research, design and
develop upcoming technologies that align to the AF's research and
development (R&D) requirements. This position will coordinate
and interface directly with scientists, engineers, and functional
managers to provide support on a variety of functions.
- Support program office acquisition process during the
evaluation and solicitation periods, selecting awardees, submitting
purchase requests packages to contracting and assisting in
completing contract award.
- Manage contract database and associated files including
spreadsheets to guarantee all program office contracts and data are
- Maintain and create tracking spreadsheets to provide assurance
funds are committed, obligated, and expended for each effort.
Regularly review data folders and spreadsheets and ensure all
appropriate data is included in the database.
- Support customer requirements for internal and external
briefings and reports by assisting with preparation, scheduling and
coordination of materials, providing knowledge and capability in
the use of personal computers and appropriate software applications
to produce visual aids (slides, viewgraphs, briefing charts, and
- Support the development of written technical reports which
includes maintaining, editing, and ensuring proper markings,
formatting, and presentation of classified/unclassified technical
documents. Additional requirements include tracking the submittal
of classified and unclassified documents to the Scientific and
Technical Information (STINFO) Office for review and publication in
the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) and NARA
- Assist in development and maintenance of Operating Instructions
(OIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPSs) in preparation and
response to semi-annual inspections. Develop and verify operating
checklists against business, programmatic, and administrative
processes, and assist in maintenance of a tracking system for
identification and correction of deficiencies.
- Provide support for work unit initiation, maintenance, and
closeout, which includes assistance with initiating, maintaining,
and retiring work unit R&D Case Files. Contractor shall be
familiar with work unit and R&D Case File policies and
procedures and be able to provide expert assistance and training
with related applications.
- Access Defense Travel System (DTS), scan for actions and
problems, and facilitate issue resolution with government
- Utilize Air Force Records Information Management System
(AFRIMS) and LiveLink to maintain and file official records in
accordance with Air Force guidelines regarding records handling and

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate
effectively and professionally in person, telephone and electronic
message to employees and management within the Air Force as well as
technical professionals in industry and other government
- Microsoft Office, ability to learn new software systems.
