Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to
manage a self-contained classroom for grades 5th through 8th in a
middle school setting. The role involves working with approximately
10 students, with a schedule that includes some half-day sessions
in the afternoon, resulting in a smaller group during that time.
The position is a contract assignment for the current school year,
located in Muncie, Indiana, serving the Delaware and Blackford
areas. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction
tailored to students with diverse learning needs within a
self-contained classroom. Develop and implement individualized
education plans (IEPs) in alignment with state educational
standards. Manage classroom behavior and foster a supportive and
inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with school staff and
families to support student progress and engagement.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Education or related field.
Valid Indiana Teachers license or eligibility to obtain a license
or permit in Mild or Intense Interventions. Experience working with
middle school-aged children in special education. Strong
communication and organizational skills to effectively manage
classroom and student needs. Location: Muncie, Indiana (Delaware /
