Communications, Navigation, and Identification (CNI) Engineer
supporting the AFLCMC/OZJ Light Attack Aircraft LAA) acquisition

Duties include, but not limited to:
Provide specialized technical expertise for support of LAA avionic
CNI systems which includes Controls and Displays, Communications,
Navigation, Surveillance, Data Links, and Cabin Management
Provide support for LAA avionics systems development, testing,
integration, and certification efforts.
Review applicable CNI OEM-delivered programmatic data ( e.g.
engineering drawings, performance specifications, hardware and
software configuration documentation, interface control documents,
and commercial item descriptions/specifications) to ensure that
deliverables meet technical and programmatic requirements.
Perform other CNI engineering activities as required.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited program with at least
four (4) years' experience
Active Security Clearance
Familiarization to CNI related Military and Commercial Standards
Understanding of CNI Architectures and Interfaces such as
RS-422, RS-485, ARINC-429 etc.
Understanding of Interoperability of Communications Systems and
Familiarization with Electromagnetic Environmental Effects airborne
equipment standards MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464, and applicable
certification efforts for TEMPEST, Spectrum, and HERO.
Familiarization of IFF selectable identification features/modes and
AIMS certification efforts.
Familiarization with Heads Up Display (HUD) Primary Flight
Desirable CNI experience with military GPS, Link-16, and/or SATCOM
Capable of working on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects
of a given program and shall be able to independently perform the
most complicated and technical support tasks relevant to all tasks
in PWS that relate to functional discipline
