If you are an ORGANIZATIONAL SAVVY COMPLIANCE professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opening for you. Based in our SIDNEY, OH location, you will be responsible for maintaining business integrity with respect to Product Material Compliance (PMC) processes and procedures. You will understand the business need is a priority as well as any documentation within Manila PMC and or ComRes businesses. You will educate current and new ComRes employees about internal business PMC structure, process, procedure, and organization while maintaining business to business continuity while similarly educating businesses about Manila PMC processes, procedures, and metrics. You will maintain and grow the process of intercompany products as they relate to PMC. You will communicate operational business risk with respect to the process, communication, organization, systems, and policy.AS THE SR/LEAD ENGINEER - PRODUCT MATERIAL COMPLIANCE OPERATIONS, YOU WILL:

  • Develop and execute business plans to successfully grow MATDEC completion through the compliance of new products and features while communicating with key business contacts.
  • Work directly with Manila Design For Compliance engineers and business points of contact to prioritize the order of NPD projects according to risk and business needs.
  • Guide the Design for Compliance (DFC) process through cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, testing, procurement, operations, sales, and marketing) and oversee the execution of the overall business plan throughout various phases of PPAP and NPD.
  • Define clear language for global product teams regarding expectations, processes, and deliverables during phase gates per Emerson NPD guidelines
  • Develop and integrate systems for collaboration and sharing between business unit functions, entities, and regions.
  • Support and lead any DFC activities within ComRes, including API integration with Teamcenter or other engineering or quality systems.
  • Lead and support any activities associated with the ComRes PMC data / supplier / law review system or systems, including working with Emerson Corporate IT teams.
  • Manage execution of projects as related to PMC either through Manila PMC or directly with ComRes businesses.
  • Using the PMC 3rd party database as the core functionality, build input and output functions (i.e. customer focus, new product development, and PPAP (pre-production) and others) to build upon efficiency, accountability, and diligence.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Emerson PMC systems and business processes.WHO YOU ARE:You navigate the political complexities of the organization easily and use knowledge of the organization's culture to achieve objectives. You separate and combine work tasks into efficient and simple workflows while maintaining experienced thought about the whole system. You set stretch goals and objectives pushing individuals or teams to perform at higher levels. You continually scan the environment for technology breakthroughs and experiment with a wide range of existing technologies while applying new and emerging options that can enhance organizational outcomes.
    REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business and five (5) years of experience in engineering
    • Strong engineering background with product development experience, a solid understanding of supply chain procedures and practices, and a basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
    • Ability to communicate well, both written and orally, and to make effective large group presentations
    • Ability to work manage multiple priorities with a commitment to deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and professional ambition are needed
    • Strong PC skills with spreadsheets, word processing, and chart knowledge
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, from senior executives to plant personnel
    • Strong global environmental legislation knowledge is needed
    • Experience with the following processes: BOM system, Engineering change and notice system, Gate Management
    • Solid understanding of Emerson ComRes business processes (engineering change, supply chain sourcing, quality approval, etc) or experience with large business processes
    • Considerable understanding 3rd party data collection, functional relationships, and business unit reporting
    • Ability to travel between 10% and 15% for the position

      PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
      • Master's Degree in Engineering or Business
      • Seven (7) years of engineering experience
      • Proven experience with Emerson Commercial and Residential Solutions PMC systems and business processes
