If you are a CONTROLS ENGINEERING professional looking for an opportunity to develop controls for state-of-the-art systems focused on Direct Outside Air Systems, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our SIDNEY, OH location, you will support controls development related to the development of our new, industry-leading, Air Management system. This person will be expected to execute controls and operational algorithms in a fast-paced, time-sensitive work-environment while building the organization's subject matter expertise in unit controls, application, and field-service. This position will be responsible for the development, evaluation, and maturation of new design technologies to improve efficiency, cost, and reliability, while enabling incremental value for customer applications.AS A CONTROLS ENGINEER/SENIOR, YOU WILL:Conceive, mature, and qualify new controls HVAC technologies per business objectives.Develop and coordinate creation of functional design documents: control narratives, interlock descriptions, alarm philosophies, and testing procedures.Interact closely with cross-functional teams to develop, design, program, and debug new/existing system architecture to support reliability and performance initiatives.Define and execute development and testing plans based on a mindset towards risk mitigation, and coordinate with appropriate resources for timely execution.Partner with the simulation team to optimize existing modeling and engineering tools as well as facilitate the creation of new design and analysis tools as needed.Manage scope and meet project schedules relative to the gated new product development process.Regularly communicate/ update technical project updates to internal and external customers and cross-functional colleagues.Support activities in system design, configuration, testing, and site commissioning of lab and field test demonstrations.Develop documentation for use by technician, internal and external, to perform their duties and assist them in troubleshootingWHO YOU ARE:You have proven that you can build, validate and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
