Description:
The Supervising CNC Commissioning Engineer develops and validates software and hardwire design solutions supporting manufacturing commissioning and installation throughout the build and installation phases for transfers, special machines and 5 axis CNC machining centers with control systems (such as Siemens 840D, Fanuc 31i/32i and Rexroth MTX or similar) . They regularly support commissioning of metal removal equipment for pre-installation, and coordinate engineering solutions for improvements/changes needed with the released engineering software and electrical drawings, creating and maintaining Software Engineering Change Notices throughout the build, installation and runoff phases of a project. This role is responsible for ensuring tool management, integrated safety, drive parameters, AC/DC servo and spindle drive tuning, as well as designing special electrical circuits, insuring they meet NFPA and ANSI standards along with customer specifications. The Supervising CNC Commissioning Engineer will work with the Training Department in writing of controls technical and maintenance manuals and procedures (supporting and providing customer training) . In this role, you will work with release engineers to identify best resolution of issues, ensuring the resolutions are debugged/verified before being implemented throughout projects in manufacturing and installations. You will be responsible for maintaining contact with supplier base to ensure most current information and products are utilized, research other new innovations, materials, components, and ideas for integration into current design, and create/maintain/program CNC & PLC controllers throughout the build, installation and runoff phases of a project, and generate required documentation for projects.
