Founded in 2004, HX5 is a fast-growing veteran- and woman-owned company with locations nationwide.HX5 is currently seeking an Avionics Engineer to join our team at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in support of the KC-46 Program office which is a derivative of the Boeing 767 aircraft.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  
• Will review technical documents, determine sufficiency for demonstrating compliance with spec and airworthiness, summarize findings, recommended changes, and communicate all results to program offices.
  
• Support technical interchange meetings with regards to updates/upgrades in area of controls and displays, data buses (including but not limited to MIL-STD-1553B and ARINC-429), and data recording equipment.
  
• Will apply knowledge in reviewing associated equipment airworthiness reports, in accordance with AFPD 62-6 USAF Airworthiness requirements.
  
• Must have 5 years of Government Acquisition experience.
  
• Must demonstrate knowledge in the area of controls and displays, data bus, and data recording development, test, sustainment and operations covering airborne vehicles' controls and displays subsystems to include performance, integrity, and FAA and DoD airworthiness/certification.
  
  Education and Experience

  • Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience.
    
    • 
      
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited program and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience.
      
    • Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited program and twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
      
      
      
      Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
      This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

      • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
        
      • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
        
      • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within six (6) months of start date.
        
      • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
