Location: For Those Who Work At Home - Various, Ohio 44145 Job Profile: The National Director of Pension Advice (the Director) serves as a member of the Institutional Advisor Leadership Team. In this capacity, the Director develops the strategy related to advising and acquiring Pension and Taft Hartley relationships. This includes the development of advice, client experience, thought leadership, sales and education on topics including Fiduciary ERISA Matters, Fund Accounting, Payments, as well as other products or services that support Pension and Taft Hartley relationships. The Director will have experience advising Corporate, Public Sector and Nonprofit clients. This role may also develop advice on consulting with clients around 401(k) providers as part of a larger relationship. As the leader of the practice group, the Director is responsible for preparing Relationship Managers to advise clients or prospects and to personally serve as the primary advisor in the most complex situations. The Director will provide insights and solutions to attract, retain and grow target clients who require advice and planning strategies. This position is responsible for the acquisition of new Pension and Taft Hartley clients for Key 's Institutional Advisors team. The Director has responsibility to provide consultative expertise to our largest institutional clients and is responsible for leading the development of the strategy for new nonprofit clients. This individual partners directly with the Director of Institutional Sales and supports the overall Institutional Advisor Sales Strategy. The Director will also partner with Institutional Advisor team members, field Relationship Managers, Strategists and Wealth Advisors on nonprofit opportunities where the client could benefit from this specialized Institutional advice. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Institutional team when opportunities arise to expand the share of wallet for existing clients through appropriate offerings of Institutional products and services. In addition to having established COIs in their market(s), this position supports the development of centers of influence in the local markets that can be leveraged into profitable relationships. The Director will also build and nurture relationships by developing prospecting ideas, building a pipeline and generating sales through the Institutional Team. This position works closely with members of the assigned client team including the Institutional Advisor team members and field partners to implement the strategies identified for clients. Job Responsibilities: Prospecting, Pipeline & Opportunity Management: * Support the Director of Institutional Sales in executing on the National Sales Strategy for the Institutional Advisors Team * Serve as an Institutional Advisors resource to develop, monitor and close Pension and Taft Hartley prospects across the entire footprint * Serve as an Institutional Advisors strategy resource for any external sales opportunities ensuring that key knowledge solutions are communicated and implemented where the expertise is necessary to close the business * Develop and refine the Key Institutional Advisor value proposition and deliver internally and externally in conjunction with the Institutional team * Partner with Institutional segment and field teams to pursue sales opportunities * Understand the factors that differentiate the services and potential prospects of the Institutional Advisors Team from the rest of the marketplace * Establishing expertise in a broad range of ERISA strategies and investment planning with responsibility to effectively communicate and implement strategies into client plans * Integration of the best thinking from the Institutional Advisors Team in coordination with subject matter experts across Key Private Bank and the delivery of bank product solutions for sophisticated strategies such as: planned giving, private foundation planning, donor advised funds, pooled funds services. * Maintain a working knowledge of advisory issues and solutions which many impact the teams' ability to assist clients in achieving their goals and aspirations * Share intellectual capital among the group of similarly experienced advisors within the Institutional Advisors team and across markets * In order to stay close to the needs of clients and prospects, the Director may maintain a modest book of clients served in a blended manner Thought Leadership: * Develop strategy for and continued growth and client experience * The identification and triage of business development and growth opportunities through the development of materials that integrate Key's best thinking and practices * Monitoring and interpreting all trends that occur within the Retirement Industry (including competitor accomplishments, industry structures and compliance or legal developments) and developing partnership opportunities with external vendors or organizations * Work directly with local management and teams to lead continuous improvements in establishing partnerships with "inside" and "outside" Centers of Influence, including traveling across the Key Bank footprint to counsel other professionals on Key Institutional Advisors strategies and solutions * Responsible for developing tools and communications that local markets can share to foster clients and develop prospects as well as speaking at client and professional seminars Required Qualifications: * Ten plus years of experience working with Pension and Taft Hartley * Experience integrating fiduciary advice for Pension and Taft Hartley as part of a client service or development model * Technical expertise related to ERISA and retirement plan matters * Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) on full spectrum of client and COI profiles - from C-level executives to participants * Demonstrated dedicated commitment and proven track record in cultivating existing client relationships with a view toward revenue enhancement and profitability Preferred Qualifications: * Experience as subject-matter-expert to in-house and industry groups * Demonstrated new business and/or client service accomplishments in institutional market COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary rate in the range of $93,000 to $217,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
