Job Description:

UES has an opening for a Technical Operations Manager, focused in technical product development, to join our team in Dayton, OH. This position will work closely with the Force Health Protection team at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. The individual would be responsible for managing technical operations to advance research toward product development. These activities will include identifying potential research products that could advance to product development and coordinating off-site logistics for sampling teams (including acting as the primary liaison for location teams on project needs) to evaluate technologies under consideration for product development, writing and reviewing technical documents (reports, briefings, manuscripts) of technical activities, and monitoring project milestones to ensure project completion.



Requirements:

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (such as biotechnology, chemistry, biology or similar) with at least 2-3 years of project management experience is required. An advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) is preferred
  
• Previous research or product evaluation experience, especially for federal agencies, is also preferred.
  
• PMP Certification or similar is preferred
  
• Working knowledge of a broad range of technical areas
  
• A proven track record of document publication preferred
  
• This position may require periodic travel (up to 1 week per quarter)
  
• This position will require someone who demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, is self-motivated, and is highly functional in a team environment
  
• This position is working within a government facility and requires U.S. Citizenship
