CAREER OPPORTUNITY- Accountant/Business Manager with Preble Senior Center in Eaton, OH

As the Accountant/Business Manager , you will be responsible for the day to day accounting of the organization as well as manage workers compensation, business insurance, and auto insurance. You will create reports and perform other finance related tasks and functions required and requested, including budget, general ledger entries, bank deposits, payroll (for 45 employees) and financial reporting. You will also ensure that all grant receivables are calculated and properly allocated across multiple functions of the organization.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

At least an Associate Degree in Business Field (Accounting Preferred)
A minimum 3-5 years of general accounting experience
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP)
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience processing payroll
Experience managing the allocation of grant income across an organization
Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Self-motivated and self-directed

Our Senior Activities Center provides a variety of activities, educational and wellness programs, health screenings, exercise classes, travel, and social activities. Preble County residents that are 60 years of age or better, they may take advantage of our in-home and community based services offered through the Preble County Council on Aging (PCCOA). We offer Transportation Services, In-Home Services, Information & Referral, Home Delivered Meals, Congregate Meals, and Senior Companionship Programs to name a few.
