Our mission is to develop the best fire protective and fire training products possible to enhance the safety of the global workforce.Responsible for the development, management and implementation of the Company's marketing, branding, and market research activities to capitalize on market opportunities and to generate demand. The Director of Marketing will provide strong leadership for the development and execution of the company's communications, sales lead generation, promotional, media activities and events ensuring implementation within budget. -ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Help develop and work within the annual marketing budget to direct the company's marketing organization.
  • Develop a comprehensive and aligned strategic marketing plan for your respective product line including communications, sales lead generation, branding, print advertising, conventions, catalog, promotional literature, Internet presence, field merchandising programs, product launch packages and dealer training materials.
  • Implement strategic plan with project managers/stakeholders and communicate to internal staff and sales team pertinent company, product and sales information.
  • Develop effective tools, including sales and product training materials, catalogs, press releases, newsletters/communications, individual authorized dealer initiatives to develop and strengthen distribution channel partner sales efforts and loyalty.
  • Ensure and monitor that product positioning and pricing is competitive, complete, clean and timely with dealer partners' communications and marketing activities.
  • Ensure optimized and on-track execution of marketing campaigns. Analyze revenue and marketing data to create and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Work with and support the Product Development and Sales teams with the development and execution of promotions, media plans, campaigns, product launch strategies, trade shows, advertising, merchandising, packaging as well as photography and copywriting.
  • Develop and Execute Public Relations Strategy including press releases.
  • Maintain database within company CRM solution of all associations, agencies, publications and editorial organizations for distribution and tracking.
  • Manage company online web strategy including SEO, keyword and social media.
  • Attend and represent the company at various trade and industry conventions throughout the year.
  • Create and present justification for new products including SWOT analysis and supporting documentation.
  • Manage the development of new product milestones and progress through pre-production process through company's project management system to ensure that projects meet deliverable expectations.
  • Identify areas for marketing improvement to generate demand and increase brand awareness.
  • Carry out other activities and responsibilities as directed.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in a technical, marketing or related discipline or 5 years of business to business marketing/product line management experience, Masters desired
    • Experience developing market assessments, strategic growth plans, managing innovation pipelines and commercialization of new products
    • Analytical aptitude and experience that results in fact-based business and marketing plans
    • Excellent project management skills and familiarity with stagegate approach to innovation management
    • Technical aptitude for understanding product line applications
    • Inclination and appreciation for design enabling function
    • Strong business acumen and credible presence with customers, suppliers and internal teams across all levels of the organizations
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize timeRELATIONSHIPS & CONTACTS:
      • Build strong relationships with internal marketing and product teams.
      • Work closely with Senior Sales Leadership, Customer Sales and Support, Internal and External Sales team members, Marketing, and President, Lion Group-- Americas.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
        • Travel of up to 15%. -Frequently travel is outside the employee's local area and overnight.
        • Highly flexible and able to react constructively and with a positive attitude to multiple demands, shifting priorities, change and unexpected events.
