Job Description Orthopedic Associates (OA) is recruiting a Certified Medical Assistant to join our company. OA is a privately-owned, regional leader in comprehensive orthopedic care. Reports To: Clinical ManagerHours: 8 hours per day (M-F); start & end times may fluctuateDuties include; but are not limited to,

  • Patient care in clinic (including bracing and stitch removal)
  • Pre-certification
  • Scheduling and re-scheduling patients
  • Follow up calls for all post op patients
  • Testing

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to listen and communicate effectively.• This position is active and requires a lot of standing, walking and talking. Also requires sitting and active listening. The employee must occasionally lift or move objects over 10 pounds.• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Travel:• This position requires travel to varying office locations as needed.Education:• Minimum education level of high school diploma and/or equivalent education.• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required.Preferred Education and Experience:• Health care industry experience• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical medicine, surgery, diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, and the various medical specialties as required in areas of responsibility.Work Authorization• Must be able to provide required documentation stating that the employee is legal to work in the United States.
