Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse LPN works under direct supervision of the Director of Nursing using the state-specific Nurse Practice Act, Practice Guidelines, and nursing judgment.
Responsibilities & Duties of the Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:
- - - - - - - - - Delivering quality nursing care to residents
- - - - - - - - - Ensuring patients medical needs are being addressed
- - - - - - - - - Collecting patient data and making observations
- - - - - - - - - Reporting pertinent information to the care of patients
- - - - - - - - - Ensuring patient receives appropriate care based on diagnosis and treatment plans
- - - - - - - - - Documenting and reporting observations of patient behavior, complaints, physical symptoms, or change in condition
- - - - - - - - - Direct and supervise other nursing staff members as needed
Qualifications of the Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:
- - - - - - - - - Ideal candidate must be a caring and compassionate individual dedicated to providing high quality of care to residents
- - - - - - - - - Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN in - OH
- - - - - - - - - Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required
- - - - - - - - - Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition
