Job Description:

We are currently seeking a front office Medical Receptionist to fill an opening with PriMED's Vandalia office. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office environment.The Receptionist plays a key role in promoting high quality customer service to our patients. She/he is responsible for the following:Greeting, directing and instructing patients and visitorsPatient registration/check-in processAnswering telephone and directing calls appropriatelyScheduling patient appointmentsAssisting in the daily operations of the officeMaintaining open, effective communication with physicians, practice managers, practice executives, co-workers, patients, and outside vendors/agenciesRequired Skills:Knowledge and experience answering a multi-line phone system with the ability to accept, relay, and transfer calls.Computer knowledge with ability to learn and use on site hardware and programs. EHR experience is a plus. Keyboarding/typing experience required.Knowledge of general and accepted office procedures and equipment necessary in the performance of the job responsibilitiesKnowledge of scheduling practices and the ability to apply these in scheduling patients and/or proceduresKnowledge of patient Rights and Responsibilities, and the ability to respond to each patient with empathy and respectAbility to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writingKnowledge of policies, procedures, philosophies, rules and regulations governing the delivery of services to patientsEducation/Experience Requirements:High School graduate or equivalentCurrent certification in CPR preferredMinimum of one-year experience in the medical office setting is strongly preferredJob Type:30-40 hours per weekOne evening every weekOne Saturday a monthBenefits:Competitive compensationComprehensive benefit package including:Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVisionDisabilityPaid Life401K with employer match and employer safe harbor contributionPaid Time OffProactive and Supported Wellness Program
