Job Description:
WCG1Summary/Objective This position will provide facility,
in-home and Community-Based Behavioral services for children,
adolescents, and young adults with developmental disabilities and
behavioral health challenges. The lead behavior technician will
work with individuals and families to provide person-centered care
and treatment services. This position will take the lead on each
shift provided at an approved work site to ensure the treatment
team is functioning smoothly and all daily requirements are
complete.Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made

functions.Lead BT will be responsible for all QBHS functions in the
Community Behavioral Services Program listed below. In addition,
the Lead BT will provide direct guidance, oversite, assistance,
training, and delegation of responsibilities to all QBHS Providers
including:Required paperwork correctly completed.Program schedule
development for the individuals served.Boundless specific
procedures are followed.Documentation is completed within 48 hours
of services.Basic sanitation in the area is maintained.Verify that
all end-of-day duties assigned to QBHS staff are completed.Lead in
the development of and provide services to each individual based on
the service needs defined by the team and in the Individual Service
Plan (ISP).Attend team meetings with the county, other providers,
and other Boundless team members as needed.Provide services to the
client regarding psychoeducation and problem-solving to promote
recovery and wellness management.Assisting clients in identifying,
accessing, and/or developing needed community services, support
systems, and resources as needed.Use evidence-based techniques, as
available, to implement behavioral support strategies and provide
assistance in the use of communication and mobility devices as
needed.Support opportunities that increase problem-solving skills
to improve self-regulation, and socialization, and maximize an
individual's ability to participate in community activities
independently or with natural supports.Provide recreation and
leisure including supports identified in the person-centered
individual service plan as being therapeutic in nature, and/or as
being necessary to assist the individual in developing and/or
maintaining social and familial relationships.Implement behavioral
health treatment by providing intensive services based off the
individual’s mental health needs including, but not limited
to:Skills development, problem-solving, conflict resolution,
emotions/behavior management, developing positive coping
mechanisms, and managing mental health and behavioral
symptoms.Provide personal care when necessary, including support
and supervision in personal hygiene, eating, communication,
mobility, toileting, and dressing.Provide Crisis Prevention &
Intervention, as needed and when approved.As assigned, assist in
the general referral, admission, and transition of individuals into
and within the organization.Assure that proper procedures are
followed regarding each individual and their inherent
rights.Maintain data, documents, records, and materials related to
assigned individuals and their ISP. Assist in monitoring goal
progression. Identify and document when interventions are needed
for specific goals due to lack of progression.Involve individuals
to whatever capacity possible in community events and
activities.Assist as needed with ambulation and/or transfer of
individuals with mobility impairments.Complete all required
documentation related to funding, employment, or general
operations, including but not limited to the following: Time
reporting, Service delivery, Skill development, Behavioral data
sheets, Unusual and major unusual incident reporting, and other
incident reports as needed.Seek, receive, and apply feedback
appropriately and professionally, and work towards goals developed
with supervisors.Communicate by both hearing and speaking in a
professional manner with the individual, team members, outside
professionals, and parents, and use professional language when
interacting and when describing the individual and/or
behaviors.Responsible for reading and following the employee
handbook and all Boundless policies and procedures.Responsible for
completing and following all training assigned.Meet required
productivity requirements as established by leadership.Perform all

ExperienceMust be at least 18 years of age.High School Diploma or
equivalent.Must be able to communicate in English, including both
spoken and in writing.Experience working as a Qualified Behavioral
Health Specialist (QBHS).Three years’ experience working with
people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or
behavioral health challenges OR a bachelor’s degree in a related
field. Additional Eligibility QualificationsAbility to obtain and
maintain First Aid, CPR - adult, child, and infant. (Training will
be provided, if not already certified).Valid Ohio Driver's License
with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance;
insurable driving record (five points or fewer).Within 60 days of
hire, successful completion of the required physical crisis
management training(s) and certification(s) applicable to the
assigned program. Preferred Education and Experience.Must be able
to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity,
and the ability to work effectively with those served, their
families, and other professional staff.Ability to accept and
implement feedback and constructive criticism in teaching, and
overall job operations.Must be able to relate to and work with ill,
disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile
people.Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when
circumstances warrant such action.Must maintain all
licenses/certifications /training/credentialing as required by job.
Supervisory Responsibility This position does not directly
supervise. This role will provide oversight to QBHS staff in the
day-to-day functions of their job. This role will be the primary
point of contact for parents after hours and partially on the
weekend.Work Environment This job may primarily operate in
individuals’ residences or in the community, depending upon the
services being delivered. This job may also work in an office
setting when performing administrative functions. An individual in
this position may be exposed to the following environmental

DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of

to 50lbs. May implement physical crisis management
intervention.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is part -
time position, and hours of work vary depending on the need of the
program. Hours can range between 9am – 7pm During times of
unexpected or temporary inability to provide services in the
community (inclement weather, pandemic, etc.), days and shift
starting and ending times may vary.This position will have a
productivity expectation in which there will be a defined number of
hours when staff will be working shifts providing community
behavioral services as needed and scheduled. The remainder of the
staff’s working time will consist of meetings, documentation,
training, billable phone calls, etc.Travel Travel is primarily
