Job Description SIGN ON BONUS $3000! Full-Time, 64 hrs/pay
period, at Bethesda Butler, West Chester/Hamilton. Opportunity for

team! Principal accountabilities include planning, directly
participating in and documenting all aspects of the nutritional
care of patients in assigned areas. Performs nutritional assessment
and documents nutrition diagnosis based on guidelines outlined by
the nutrition care process Discusses the nutrition diagnosis and
provides nutrition counseling that outlines nutrition goals with
patient, families, and other team members when possible.
Collaborates with internal and external resources to implement
nutritional care plan Monitor and evaluates the effectiveness of
the patients nutrition care plan and revises plan as needed Relates
basic principles of nutrition to staff, health care team members
and community Reviews current research to enhance professional
practice Serves on at least one hospital committee and provides
pertinent feedback positively impacting decisions that affect the
department, hospital and community Demonstrates awareness of
professional time management and uses time efficiently and
productively Is open to change and has the ability to alter ones
task with minimal loss of efficacy Job Requirements: As of 1/1/24,
new practitioners are required to have a Master’s Degree in
Dietetics. If eligible or registered prior to 1/1/24, Bachelor’s
Degree is Dietetics is required; Dietetic limited permit is
accepted upon hire Required to pass RD exam within 6 months of hire
date. Applicants not on a limited permit are required to have both
Ohio Licensure AND Registration General clinical knowledge of adult
learning principles Up to 1 experience in a related field Job
Responsibilities: Clinical Competency/Continued Education: Utilizes
all components of Nutrition Care Process in care planning. Writes
appropriate PES statements, and documents discharge plan
consistently. Evaluate and monitor the effects of nutrition plans
and practices and make changes as needed. Keeps abreast of new
nutrition research through continuing education opportunities,
attending at least one educational session in focus area of
practice a year, and keeps CDR education record updated. Patient
Education: Assesses patient's learning needs including cultural and
religious beliefs, emotional and age specific barriers, desire and
motivation to learn, and diet history when completing patient
educations. Individualizes patients' intervention goals and
documentation is complete per department standards. Projects:
Complete a small project/bright idea such as updating (non-patient
education) clinical resource, published nutrition article,
education session on unit or organized a journal club reviewing a
research article(s) with a group of Clinical Dietitians in the
system etc. Time Management/Flexibility: Demonstrates awareness of
professional time management. On average meets patient ratio goals.
Demonstrates flexibility and is able to adjust schedule to meet
daily needs. New Hire/Training, and Development: Creates a
welcoming atmosphere, reviews trainee's documentation, observe
trainees patient interactions and provided feedback in a
constructive/positive manner consistently when training new hires
and/or dietetic interns. Leadership/Teamwork: Provides constructive
feedback to move initiatives forward during department
