Job Description:
Mount Carmel Health System seeks a compassionate and experienced
RN, Lactation Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team.
Serving at the forefront of newborn and maternal care, this role is
pivotal in supporting breastfeeding mothers at our various central
Ohio locations, including Mount Carmel East, West, St. Anns, New
Albany, and Grove City. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in
lactation consultation, coupled with a profound commitment to
patient-centered care, aligning with our mission to lead in
comprehensive healthcare delivery. Assess and support the
breastfeeding needs of mothers and infants. Develop and implement
individualized care plans for breastfeeding patients. Educate
mothers, families, and staff on the benefits and techniques of
breastfeeding. Maintain patient documentation and follow-up to
ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with healthcare providers to
advocate for patient needs and optimal outcomes. Participate in
trainings and stay updated on the latest practices in lactation
services. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Expert
knowledge in lactation consultancy and neonatal care Ability to
handle sensitive situations sympathetically and professionally
Capacity to work independently and on a multidisciplinary team
Proficiency with healthcare IT systems Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of Ohio Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC)
or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
