Job Title: Transplant OR RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty:
Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12
hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of strong transplant
experience required License: Must have a valid Indiana license,
temporary license, or compact license at the time of start
Certifications: BLS, Regulatory Charting for Transplants Must-Have:
Experience with recipient procedures involved in liver transplant.
Must be willing to float to multi-specialty surgeries. Must be able
to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Description: The position
requires a registered nurse specializing in the operating room for
kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral transplants.
Successful candidates will have experience in transplant surgeries,
particularly liver transplant procedures. Candidates with 2 years
of strong transplant experience are encouraged to apply, even if
they are first-timers in this specific role. The nurse will need to
attend a call requirement of 40-60 hours per 6-week period.
Floating among various surgeries and specialties is required.
Pediatric transplant experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Certified candidates must also understand regulatory charting
relevant to the transplant processes. This role supports diverse
patient groups, including adults and geriatric patients undergoing
abdominal transplants. Candidates must have actual transplant
procedure experience within the last 2 years. Travelers with
permanent residency in the state are welcome to apply. References
from two supervisors are required. The facility is a short-term
acute care hospital that provides comprehensive transplant
services, focusing on abdominal organ transplants. Other duties may
include involvement in outreach and community education for
