Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:30 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Valid compact or state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU specialty. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Epic experience is mandatory. BLS and ACLS certification are required. Previous charge experience is essential. The patient ratio in this role is 1:2. Candidates should possess skills in pre-post care, dysrhythmia recognition, and management. Experience with several surgical procedures is necessary, including tonsillectomy, cholecystectomy, and hysterectomy. Additional skills in managing intravenous lines and conducting airway assessments are also required. Having knowledge of medication reconciliation and pre-op assessments is important. The role will involve recovery procedures for various case types, including ambulatory and outpatient services. Ability to float to other sites as needed may be required. Candidates must comply with required credentialing processes promptly. Two professional references are needed for consideration. At least one reference must be from a supervisory role. Only candidates with valid licenses will be accepted for submission.
