Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit with advanced care and floating requirements in a mixed acuity environment. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital-based Telemetry unit with advanced care/stepdown-level patients - Mixed acuity patient population, including advanced care level drips - Required to float to all stepdown and advanced care units, including multiple campus locations within 15 miles - Patient ratios typically 1:4, with potential up to 1:5-6 - Night shift (4x12 hours), 19:00-07:30 - Every other weekend and holiday coverage required - Team and primary nursing models may be utilized, partnering with RNs, LPNs, and PCTs - No holiday time-off requests are permitted for this contract - No travel partners are accepted - A maximum of 7 days of requested time off will be approved - Medical exemptions for vaccination requirements will not be accepted - Nurses will be fitted for an N95 respirator prior to working in certain units unless a PAPR is required - Travelers will be prioritized for floating based on unit needs - Travelers are not eligible for certain employee incentives - Completion of online modules is required during orientation - First-time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements - Current OH or compact RN license required - Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a large hospital; Level 1 trauma experience preferred, Level 2 accepted - Travel experience preferred - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - Ability to read and interpret EKG strips - Must have or be willing to obtain NIHSS certification - Must pass an online EKG/telemetry competency assessment prior to starting - No past license actions permitted - Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-666805.
