Dialysis Tech Location: Orient, OH Agency: Medical Edge Recruitment Pay: $26 per hour Contract Duration: 26 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Dialysis Technician Overview: Join our team as a Dialysis Technician and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will be responsible for preparing and monitoring dialysis treatments, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the medical team. Required Skills: Ability to prepare dialysate according to prescribed protocols Proficiency in obtaining and documenting vital signs and patient observations Skilled in inspecting vascular access and initiating dialysis procedures Knowledge of blood flow rate adjustments and anticoagulant administration Capable of responding to dialysis alarms and emergencies effectively Strong communication skills to coordinate with nursing staff and document treatment parameters Ability to follow strict protocols for equipment sanitization and patient safety Basic clinical skills such as changing bandages and preparing samples for testing Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and flow sheet completion Preferred Education and Experience: Previous experience in a dialysis or similar clinical setting preferred Experience with vascular access management and emergency response is advantageous High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare training is a plus Other Requirements: Schedule includes days off every Sunday and either Tuesday or Wednesday (second day off set during orientation) Orientation must be scheduled on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, 8:30 am to approximately noon Must report with a valid driver’s license Items must be brought in a clear plastic bag; cell phones and smart watches are not permitted inside the facility Must be able to work and respond effectively in emergency situations, including initiation of CPR if needed Certifications/licenses related to patient care are required and should be provided upon hire Why Choose Medical Edge?
