Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Columbus, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,269 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 Years Required License: Valid state or compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous PCU work experience Description: This position is for an experienced registered nurse in the PCU specialty. The unit cares for both PCU and Med/Surg patients. This is a very busy surgical floor. Staffing ratios are ideally 1:4 but may go up to 1:5. Weekend scheduling will vary based on unit needs. There is no guaranteed blocked scheduling offered. Nurses may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination based on departmental needs. Shift assignments will be reviewed regularly, but changes are not guaranteed. Self-scheduling requests are encouraged to accommodate preferred schedules. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. Key patient diagnoses include various types of cancer from surgical oncology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and plastics. The unit handles special procedures, such as chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and oncologic emergencies. There is a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention. Nurses must possess skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and specialized equipment care. Interdisciplinary support for patient care includes services from IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy.
