Immediate opening for an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join a collaborative Med/Surg float pool and provide high-quality clinical care for adult and geriatric patients. Job Details - Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) — Columbus nursing jobs / Ohio travel nursing jobs - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,940–$2,040 per week - Setting: Medical/Surgical Float Pool – Telemetry (Medical/Surgical RN, Telemetry RN) - Assignment Type: Travel assignment / 13-week travel contract - Start Date: April 20, 2026 - End Date: July 20, 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Day shift — 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) - Total Hours: 36 hours per week - Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics - Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed (float pool experience preferred) Job Requirements - Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting (Telemetry RN / Medical Surgical RN experience) - Current Registered Nurse license — compact license accepted or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission - BLS certification required (AHA preferred) - Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring; able to manage 1:4–1:5 patient ratios - Experience with EPIC electronic health record (EPIC, clinical documentation) - Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills - Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program - Travel nursing experience required - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) - Must provide two professional references (one from a manager/director/supervisor) Responsibilities - Deliver comprehensive nursing care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients, focusing on safe, evidence-based practice - Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; recognize and manage dysrhythmias (Telemetry monitoring) - Start and maintain IVs, administer medications, and manage central and peripheral lines - Provide care for patients with trauma, post-surgical, and chronic medical conditions - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and case management - Float to different units as needed within the organizational float pool - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC - Participate in rapid response/code teams and follow isolation precautions/PPE protocols - Support patient and family education and ensure a safe, healing environment Why Join Our Healthcare Team - Work at a renowned medical center in Columbus, OH with opportunities to grow clinical skills as a Telemetry RN - Experience a supportive team environment and meaningful travel nursing assignment - Explore Columbus — a vibrant city with diverse culture, arts, and outdoor activities Apply now to join our healthcare team for this rewarding Travel RN opportunity in Columbus, Ohio.
