Team Leader serves as the primary support for the implementation,
development and coaching of the Operation Technicians and Operation
team in an effective, value driven, performance based environment.
This position will also have the responsibility for leading the
Operation team to adhere to FP&R practices and principles to
achieve key performance indicators, daily performance goals,
coordinate activity between shifts and departments while keeping
the plant informed about Operations performance on a regular basis.
The Operation Team Leader will coordinate the activity of Operation
and Maintenance team members, gather data, identify daily
strategies that will maximize quality and productivity; and
facilitate troubleshooting production issues.Principal Duties and
ResponsibilitiesDirects and coordinates the activities of Operation
Technicians engaged in the production to increase innovation,
technical expertise, analysis, and problem solving
skillsIncorporate Factory Performance & Reliability, good
manufacturing practices, Visual Workplace, Lean Manufacturing and
Reliability engineering in continuous improvement planning and
systems.Establish and maintain effective Key Performance Indicator
(KPI) measurement for the plant, tracking and reporting tools, and
establish corrective action for continuous improvement.Establishes
work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet
production goals.Responsible for time management and data entry
into eTime for vacation, PTO, floating holiday, overtime and
attendance.Confers with other supervisors to coordinate operations
and activities within or between departments.Conducts or
coordinates Technician training in equipment operations, GMPs,
Quality, sanitation, maintenance, productivity or work and safety
procedures, or assign employee training to experienced
workers.Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, and
company policies and procedures for workers.Empower teams by way of
training, information sharing, coaching, feedback, appraisals and
delegation, to ensure the development of people, skills, teams and
organizational capabilities.Responsible for temporary employee
management including: safety policies, GMPs, equipment training,
scheduling, and time card approval process.Support implementation
of Quality Assurance and Food Safety initiatives. Ensure personnel
adhere to Hill's policies, safety standards, and Good Manufacturing
Practices, including Quality Assurance and Food Safety.Expected
Areas of SkillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills
(written and verbal)Proficient Knowledge of FP&R, HACCP, GMP's,
and SPCExcellent ability to multi-task and prioritize
dutiesProficient Computer skills including; Google Suite
Applications and SAPAbility to understand and apply finance and
accounting principlesExcellent at identifying the underlying
principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down
information or data into separate parts for analysisExcellent
attention to detailExcellent at using relevant information and
individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply
with laws, regulations, policies, or standardsMust be able to work
in a standard office environmentTeamwork orientationTechnical
proficiency including:Experience using ROI, Continuous Improvement
Tools or FMEA toolsTraining others and conflict
resolutionPresentation skillsUnderstanding of financial
measuresStandards, weights and measure requirementsAIB, FDA, USDA
and other regulatory agency design requirementsProficient in CPk
and Continuous Improvement MethodologiesAbility to work a schedule
supporting a 24/7 operation, which may include nights, weekends or
holidaysAbility to be on call during off hoursBasic
QualificationsBachelor's Degree required (degree in Engineering,
Supply Chain Management, Business or in a related field)Preferred
Qualifications2+ years' supervisory experience2+ years' experience
in manufacturing, preferably in a processing industry such as food,
chemicals or pharmaceuticals2+ years' experience in performance
analysis and reporting including Statistical Process ControlLean
Six Sigma certified#LI-OnsiteSalary Range $62,080- $101,220 USDPay
is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not
limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In
