We invite you to connect your talents with opportunity, and be a part of our "Family of Professionals," in supporting cutting-edge initiatives! ***This position may qualify for a $2,000 sign-on bonus*** Responsibilities: -- + Knowledge of systems engineering in support of system definition, development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, risk modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, human system integration (HSI), crew stations engineering, OSS&E efforts, interoperability requirements, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems, including ground based systems. + Review/develop/update applicable program documentation for systems engineering relevant requirements/issues. + Participate in and assist in the planning of systems engineering risk assessments by establishing a risk management review, coordinating action item status, and updating risk management metrics. + Support the program office Airworthiness Certification Working Group (ACWG) by supporting, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive Modification Airworthiness Criteria Certification (MACC) compliance package and conducting an airworthiness risk assessment. + Support the planning and execution of the Airworthiness Review Board Meeting in support of obtaining military flight releases/Military Type Certificates. + Produce draft documentation as requested or necessitated by programmatic limits based on cost, schedule, and performance to support the airworthiness process. Additional duties include: -- + Review and perform assessments on program specific databases; analyze Built in Test (BIT) failure reports; and compare failure reports against the BIT Interpreter Analyzer for accuracy of BIT indications; provide system integration guidance to aircraft program offices for the program system installation and system maintenance; review and analyze technical proposals or modifications for design feasibility and system capability; conduct performance effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life-cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical and schedule risk assessments, and scheduling trade-off studies; and conduct systems analyses to include, but not be limited to, system design/design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessments. + SMEs are typically identified as recognized Industry leaders for a given area of expertise. SMEs typically perform the following kinds of functions: initiates and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues; consults with client to define need or problem; produces studies and conducts surveys to collect and analyze data to provide recommended solutions. Required Experience -- Required Qualifications + Bachelor's degree or higher in professional engineering, mathematics, or science (specifically related to the subject matter). + Minimum of eight years work related experience + Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs + US Citizenship required. Candidate must be able to pass a Special Agent Check (SAC) prior to hire date. In addition, candidate must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. ***This position may qualify for a $2,000 sign-on bonus*** Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
