Qualifications: Engineering Aide RF Software Development In this position you will work with a small team to develop waveforms using senior/graduate level digital communication techniques (such as error correction, phase-locked loops, etc.). Will assist in full life cycle development of high-level language testing, direct implementation, unit testing, and documentation involving full waveforms. What you ll do: * Work with small team to rapidly developed waveforms using digital communication techniques. * Provide regular updates on development progress. * Ensure code correctness and compliancy to the applied system. * Work closely with our customer to accomplish technical objectives of the assignment. * Represent the organization as a member of the technical staff. * Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. * Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. * Perform other duties as necessary. What you ll need: * High School diploma or equivalent. * Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor s or Master s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. * Strong knowledge in Digital Communications and RF systems such as error correction, phase-locked loops, and modulations. * Experience with Matlab. * Experience with C/C++. * A strong organized coding practice with an emphasis on code testing and documentation. * Experience with Python a plus. * Experience with Software Defined Radios a plus. * Ability to work rapidly in a small team environment. Working Conditions: * Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment. * May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required. * May access other facilities in various weather conditions. * Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required. Security Clearance: Successful applicant for this position must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance or government customer access to classified/sensitive material. A current DoD clearance is not required to be eligible for this position, however the successful applicant will be required to obtain a DoD clearance or government customer access within a reasonable time after the offer is extended and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance. *US Citizenship is Required.
