Job Description:Edaptive Computing, Inc. (ECI) is currently seeking a Java Software Engineer. The Edaptive Computing Software Engineer develops and tests Java applications and systems.
Type:Full time with competitive benefits package--Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and test Java web and desktop for front-office and back-office applications
• Works as a member of project teams to implement designs to meet customer requirements using Agile --- SCRUM methodology
• Stay current on trending development technologies and offer ideas for improvement to systems and processes

  • Experience and knowledge of software engineering best practices and techniques
  • Experience and knowledge of software design patterns and best practices
  • Capability to work independently andcollaboratively as a member of a project team
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance--Educational and Experience Requirements:
    • 3+ years of Java in software development or engineering role
    • Bachelor---s degree required or equivalent work experience
    • Computer Science degree or technical training in computer programming
    • Experience with object-oriented programming languages
    • Understanding of how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript work together in the browser to drive the user experience
      Enhancing Qualifications:
      • HTML5/CSS3 (LESS or SASS)
      • JavaScript/TypeScript
      • Angular
      • SQL and NoSQL
      • Designing applications for cloud deployments
      • Automated/scripted testing platforms (e.g. JUnit, Jenkins, Selenium)
      • Eclipse experience (coding, debugging, etc.)
      • Knowledge of web services (REST)
      • XML and/or JSON familiarity
      • Source Control (Git or SVN)
      • Linux experience a plus
      • Experience in process automation, machine learning, or big data processing
      • AWS
      • Web Security
      • Python
