for an enthusiastic Software Engineer/Software team lead to join
our Aerospace Technology team in our Dayton, Ohio facility. Do you

We have an immediate need for an experienced, solutions-oriented
computer scientist, computer engineer or software developer to
augment our extensive software development, modeling, simulation,
and analysis efforts. Our software teams create solutions used
throughout the Department of Defense in real-world applications,
modeling and simulation and to influence the course of future DoD
technology development. Essential Job Functions: The successful
candidate for this position could expect to: Design, develop, test,
and deploy software architectures for autonomy and control
applications. Apply systems and software engineering principles to
manage system complexity, reduce integration time, and increase
reusability. Apply and tailor rigorous software development
processes within agile research and development environments. Work
in and lead tight-knit teams following Agile-based software
development practices. Interact with customers to develop
innovative solutions, and present findings to leadership. Develop
plugin components for powerful simulation frameworks. Develop
algorithms applying theoretical research to practical problems.
Interact with subject matter experts across a wide variety of
knowledge domains. Some travel may be required. Requirements: Due
to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S.
Citizenship is required. At least a BS degree in Computer Science,
Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline and at
least 8 years of related experience. (We have multiple levels
associated with this opportunity. Candidates with advanced degrees
or varying experience may be considered for alternative
classification.) Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S.
Government background investigation and must meet eligibility
requirements to attain a Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.
Demonstrated ability to develop in C/C++ and object oriented
design. Experience with full scope AGILE software development
processes. Good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to
work in a team environment Experience with automated software
testing or unit testing, and continuous integration. Understanding
of software architecture design. Familiarity with source code
control systems (specifically Git). Although not firm requirements
for consideration, we feel an ideal candidate might also bring:
Active U.S. DoD security clearance. Experience using Python.
Experience working in a Linux environment. Certification as an
Agile practitioner (Scrum master or equivalent). Experience and
understanding of autonomy and control systems. Open Mission Systems
(OMS) experience. Experience with modeling, simulation and
analysis, particularly using the Advanced Framework for Simulation,
Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM). Experience working with UDP and
TCP/IP communication. Experience working with tactical
communication systems. Experience integrating against hardware
Interface Control Documents (ICDs). Experience developing numerical
algorithms and floating point arithmetic. Infoscitex, a DCS
