Illuminate seeks an exceptionally qualified Technical Writer to join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, services, microservices, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and support services. The effort requires the maintenance and enhancement of an application and underlying services/microservices' application's current capability while identifying future capability needs and eliminating overlaps. The team will continuously improve sustainment and development in order to reinvest resources to provide new capabilities and improve the effectiveness, quality, and robustness of the underlying technology. Our applications are focused on intelligence analysis and collection management directly supporting intelligence analysts and operators across the intelligence community and Combatant Commands.The Technical Writer develops, writes, and supports technical staff in the preparation of a wide variety of technical documentation, from requirements analysis, design, manuals, fielding documents, and network security documents. Assists in the preparation of documents and supports the development of contract deliverables and reports. Capable of managing several different tasks from several different requestors at one time. Strong Technical Writing Skills; Understands the basic technical language IT, IC, and Cyber. Must poses experience managing and using a knowledge management system. Experience using SharePoint a big plus. Responsibilities Responsible for the revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation of existing or legacy applications Updates and edits technical documentation for all of the project's hardware and software to include installation, configuration and how-to documentation Updates code documentation for software; produces implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; provides field, data definition, and data flow documentation and formats technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources Participates in the development of training materials related to Tier 0/1 ensuring they are comprehensive enough for ESOC technical staff are capable of troubleshooting the application Qualifications Clearance: TS/SCI Polygraph: current Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph Experience in technical writing/editing in a classified environment Required Education and Experience High School Diploma/ GED 10 Associates Degree 8 Bachelors' Degree 6 Masters' Degree 4 PhD 0 Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and six years of experience Experience with MS SharePoint, Background in cyber/software/engineering preferred Equal employment opportunity employer: All employment decisions shall be made without regard to age, race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, marital status, citizenship status or any other basis as protected by federal, state, or local law.
