Description:JOB TITLE: CMM Programmer/ InspectorDEPARTMENT:
Quality REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Metrology & Quality
InspectionPRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:Inspects products
manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with contract
specifications by performing the following duties.DESCRIPTION OF
DUTIES:--- Inspects product to determine compliance with
specifications, both dimensional and visual; Libra's quality
control system for compliance with requirements for conformity to
specified standards.--- Stamps mark of approval or rejection on
product and writes report of examination or signs off on
product.--- Run, operate and program CMMs.--- Recommend adjustments
to the assembly or production process.--- Assist in the control of
nonconforming product.--- Help in continuous improvement
activities.--- Follows inspection and control plans to ensure
product quality.--- Coordinates data files and quality records in
accordance with the Libra's quality control system.--- Prepared
backup CMM accessories probes, extensions and all phases of CMM
hardware. SKILLS /EXPERIENCE PREFFERED:--- Associate's degree in
Engineering Technology or greater.--- Certified Mechanical
Inspector status through ASQ.--- Aukom Training.--- ASME GD&T
Training.--- Minimum of 3 years Zeiss Calypso experience.EDUCATION/
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:--- High school diploma or GED.WORK
ENVIRONMENT:--- This position will work in both front and shop
environments.--- In the shop, you will be exposed to airborne
particles, moving mechanical parts, machines, and material handling
vehicles. PPE is required in this shop area. PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:--- While performing duties of this job, the employee
is required to have good hearing and sight. --- You will need to be
able to walk the shop floor and be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
