Job Description:

Our client, a global leader in aerospace engineering and manufacturing, has an immediate need for qualified Technical Sales Manager, to join our growing team in Springfield.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for business development with civil and defense OEMs.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.
Build and maintain long-lasting, strong customer relationships while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
Understand, analyze, and report industry-specific trends and landscapes.
Work with support teams (Design Engineering, Program Management, communication, etc.) to create and communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals, creatively address customer requirements, and be a trustworthy resource and solution provider.
Work with support teams (Design Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Accounting, etc.) to ensure that the system's information is up to date and that orders are delivered in a timely manner.



KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in industrial/mechanical engineering or a related discipline preferred. A bachelor's degree plus additional relevant experience is acceptable.
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the aerospace industry.
Experience developing target account conquest strategies, sales plans, new business proposals, and negotiating pricing and delivery.
Strong communication proficiency, presentation, and organization skills.
Proficient computer skills - MS Office, CAD software (Catia, NX, etc.) would be a plus.
Travel within a territory, up to 30% is required. Frequent travel outside the local area can include international travel.
