You will be part of Tech at Lilly MQ (Manufacturing and Quality),
an organization that drives manufacturing operational excellence
and productivity efforts through utilization of technology. Tech at
Lilly MQ strives to enable the making of medicine “with safety
first and quality always”. As a Solution & Data Architect within
the IT organization that supports the Engineering (ENG), Global
Serialization (GSP), Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE), and
Global Facilities Delivery (GFD) organizations at Lilly, you will
play a critical role in designing and implementing integrated,
scalable, and secure IT and Data solutions to optimize processes.
You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive technical
architecture that includes system integration and robust data
infrastructure to support real-time decision-making, compliance,
and process efficiency. This role will require close collaboration
with cross-functional teams, and partner stakeholders, to ensure
the seamless flow of data and system functionality, while adhering
to pharmaceutical industry regulations. How You’ll Succeed: Design
and implement end-to-end technical solutions that address the
business challenges of the ENG, GSP, HSE & GFD organizations at
Lilly. Lead the integration of IT systems and data flows between
Lilly’s internal platforms, ensuring smooth communication across
operations and quality. Develop and maintain a comprehensive data
architecture, ensuring data accuracy, security, and availability
for decision-making, analytics, and reporting. Implement data
governance practices to ensure compliance with regulatory
standards. Develop and provide expertise in enterprise data
domains; this includes data relationships, data quality,
understanding of business data needs and the associated technology
toolsets and methodologies. Develop understanding how the
enterprise data strategies, platforms, and technologies enable
business execution. Use this knowledge to appropriately challenge
status quo and drive business and Tech at Lilly collaborations.
Ensure that all solutions adhere to regulatory, compliance, and
security standards, including GxP, ensuring data and system
integrity. Work closely with internal teams (IT, manufacturing,
quality, ENG/GSP/HSE/GFD) and external partners to gather
requirements, create designs, and deliver IT and data solutions
that enhance operational efficiency. Continuously evaluate and
implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance system
functionality, data flow, and overall operational efficiency. Drive
continuous improvement initiatives across both solution and data
architectures. Provide technical leadership, guidance, and
mentorship to cross-functional teams on both IT system design and
data architecture best practices. What You Should Bring:
Demonstrated ability to influence IT and business strategies to
drive large-scale outcomes. Strong experience designing and
implementing IT and data architectures in a highly regulated,
manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment, including systems like
Maximo, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Seeq, e-Permitting, Intelex,
Sphera. Proven experience with system integration tools and
technologies to connect internal. Expertise with cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure), AI, Automation and big data technologies for managing
data flows and building scalable, compliant data architectures.
Proficiency in database management systems and experience with data
integration, modeling, and governance tools. Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills to design efficient architectures,
troubleshoot system and data flow issues, and optimize performance.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with
cross-functional teams, leadership, and external vendors
effectively. Experience as an autonomous IT leader leading large
scale portfolios and sophisticated high demanding customers.
Validated skills of strong learning agility and relationship
building to influence change using knowledge and relationships.
Successful record of high quality, user focused, on-time & budget
IT service and project delivery. Experience with formal project
management methodologies, agile frameworks and working knowledge of
associated practices and tools. A high level of intellectual
curiosity, external perspective, and innovation interest. Basic
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology or related technical field. OR Master’s degree in
Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration,
or a related field is preferred. Additional Preferences: 5 plus
years of experience in IT solution architecture and data
architecture roles within a pharmaceutical manufacturing
environment. Experience in AI, Automation, and cloud technologies:
AWS and/or Azure. Experience with multiple database technologies
and solutions. Demonstrated ability to analyze large, complex data
domains and craft practical solutions for subsequent data
exploitation via analytics. Demonstrated ability to communicate
with a geographically dispersed group of business and technical
colleagues Strong knowledge of GxP, FDA, and other regulatory
requirements. Ability to work in a fast-paced, global, and
regulated environment, with a focus on operational excellence.
Previous Agile experience. Experience with Agile Development,
CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub, Automation platforms. AWS Solution
Architect. Other Information: Role is Monday through Friday. Must
be flexible in providing support to accommodate other inputs
(production schedules, shutdowns, etc.). Occasional extended hour
and / or off-hour work may be required. Position is based in
Indianapolis and will travel to other global Lilly sites as

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $124,500 -
$200,200 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
