Andy Frain Services is seeking a dedicated Security Officer / Cargo Screener to join our team specializing in providing high-quality security solutions in the transportation and logistics sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of cargo passing through transport hubs, using the latest screening technology and methodologies. Additionally, the role demands vigilance in monitoring activities within transport premises to prevent illegal activities including theft or terrorism. Screen and inspect cargo using x-ray and physical inspection techniques to detect prohibited items. Monitor and control access points and coordinate security operations in accordance with established protocols. Maintain detailed logs of all security screenings and incidents. Report security breaches and unusual occurrences, taking immediate actions to mitigate any risks. Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel as required. Participate in ongoing training and security drills to stay updated with the current security protocols and advancements. Proficient in using security technology and equipment, including x-ray scanners and metal detectors. Strong observational skills, with an ability to spot unusual behaviors and items. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with coworkers and report to management. Capable of maintaining a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
