Job Description:

UniFirst Corporation, a leader in providing workplace uniforms and protective work wear, is seeking a dedicated Fleet Technician to maintain and repair vehicles within our logistics fleet. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our delivery vehicles, which play a pivotal role in our commitment to exceptional service and reliability to our customers across the United States, Europe, and Canada. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of company vehicles, including vans, light trucks, and other delivery vehicles. Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs, such as brake adjustments, engine tune-ups, electrical system repairs, etc. Maintain accurate records of each vehicle’s service and repairs. Conduct safety inspections of vehicles and equipment prior to use. Work closely with the logistics team to ensure timely and efficient maintenance schedules. Keep a clean and organized work environment to maintain safety and productivity. Order and manage inventory of necessary supplies and parts. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience with diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. Ability to operate various tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment used in automotive repair. Proficiency in maintaining service logs and repair records electronically. Good communication and coordination skills. Medical Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Certification highly preferred. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is advantageous but not a requirement.
