Job Description:

As a Delivery Assistant at McLane Company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of food and grocery products to a wide range of McLane’s clientele across the United States. As a key player in our logistics and distribution operation, your duties will not only involve helping with the unloading and accurate delivery of goods, but also ensuring that each customer interaction is conducted with the utmost professionalism and adherence to company standards. Assist with loading and unloading goods from the delivery vehicle. Ensure the correct and safe handling of all merchandise, adhering to safety and handling procedures. Accompany drivers to delivery points and assist in navigating routes. Interact with clients during deliveries, executing excellent customer service. Maintain communication with distribution center management to report delivery progress. Participate in routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and moving heavy loads. Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer interactions. Basic understanding of logistics software and GPS devices. Time management skills to adhere to delivery schedules.
