Job Description Job Description PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The team member is responsible to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain 2 OMAX Water jets simultaneous within process requirements. The team member must be able to perform 2D CAD part layouts, create work holding solutions and perform inspection as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Set Up, adjust, operate and maintain two OMAX water jets Perform 2D CAD layouts along with manual part layout Create work holding solutions and tool paths for complex parts Translates GD&T blueprints into manufacturing process and part requirements. Perform sawing operations when required - Band Saw and Abrasive Saw Performs dimensional inspection of specimens and use of measuring equipment. Responsible for taking care of routine machine maintenance and keeping work area in neat condition. Follows all safety rules regarding machine operations and proper guarding. Assists in on-the-job training of new or current machinists with their machines and processes. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS High School Graduate with 3 years water jet programming experience. Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and complete required internal paperwork. Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced. Read and interpret basic blueprints and basic measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, Height gages, indicators). High school level math skills (decimal interpretation, add, subtract, multiplication, division). The ability to quickly make coordinated hand movements to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects to operate machines properly. Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry up to 70 pounds frequently. Physical ability to continuously stand for 4 hours.
