Job Description:

Johns Manville's Insulation Systems facility located in Richmond, IN is hiring an Industrial Plant Electrician who enjoys being part of a team environment. The Industrial Electrician works under the general supervision of the shift supervisor, performing all electrical maintenance on equipment to maximize productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Richmond, IN plant produces high volumes of quality blown wool insulation for contractors and retail customers.

Role is working 12-hour shifts, 3 on 2 off/2 on 3 off/2 on 2 off with starting pay of $27.96/hr. + $.40-.60/hr. shift differential for any hours worked between 3 pm and 6am.

Your Day to Day:

* Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company policies and compliance requirements. Reports hazardous conditions immediately, maintains security procedures and wears protective equipment as required. * Plans and lays-out assigned work orders and takes responsibility for the completion of assignments. Creates and completes work orders, requisitions, time distribution, material lists, material usage lists and performs other duties necessary to maintain proper records relative to the work performed. * Performs circuit repairs and troubleshooting or new installations as required. * Provides sketches of approved changes made to the wiring upon completion of job. * Possesses knowledge of and performs electro-mechanical system diagnosis, and repair/installation. * Skillfully performs all phases of conduit running, wire pulling, and termination as required. * Performs soldering. * DC motor diagnosis, repair and new installation. * Diagnosis, repair and new installations of combustion control equipment; batch house computer and related circuits; HVAC equipment; and controls and circuits in the power house. * Operates on plant grounds, mobile equipment including front end loader, lugger, fork truck, etc. in performing the necessary duties. * Assists maintainers and auto mechanic as necessary.

What You Bring to the Team:

* High school diploma or equivalent * Experience with 480v AC motor control circuits * Demonstrated knowledge of the National Electric Code * Journeyman electrician card preferred * Follow instructions, policies and procedures * Safely and properly use electrical testing equipment * Read electrical prints and schematics * Proven ability to learn new technology and equipment operation * Physically able to perform essential job functions * Must be respirator ready * PLC experience, preferred, not required.
