Apply Today! POSITION OVERVIEW: Perform imaging exams on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site Radiologist. Verify/obtain relevant patient history for ultrasound exams ordered ensuring adequate and proper study is being performed, in the best interest of the patient and provider, and gives the highest quality of care Explain the exam to the patient Maintain patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the ultrasound and during the exam Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Call for service and notify all pertinent team members SHIFT: Monday - Friday Day Shift. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of Radiologic Technology Program. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registered, required. Current State License, required. BLS, required. 2 years minimum experience required KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Working knowledge of Ultrasound procedures and protocols. Working knowledge of Ultrasound equipment and safety hazards. Able to concentrate and pay close attention to details when performing Ultrasound exams. Knowledge of all aspects of Ultrasound to include: Abdomen, Pelvis, Breast, Vascular, and pediatric scanning.
