Professional Portable X-Ray (PPX) and Dynamic Mobile Imaging (DMI), divisions of DispatchHealth, are looking for a full time or part time radiologic technologist to join our rapidly growing mobile x-ray company. Our x-ray technologists travel locally to diagnose patients in their own homes or at a facility. You will be driving a company vehicle fully equipped with easy-to-move, state-of-the-art portable x-ray equipment. Position Summary You will be using a company vehicle equipped with a compact, portable x-ray machine (DR), and drive locally to x-ray patients in many different facilities throughout your shift. Responsibilities Travel by automobile to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, residential homes, and other patient locations. Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, portion of body involved and degree on penetration required. Follow ALARA principles for reducing radiation exposure. Prepare images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician. Transmit images and all required associated documentation in a timely manner. Complete all forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed according to standard protocols. Take good care of vehicle; ensure that the vehicle is well stocked with necessary supplies. Assist with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading radiologists, customer call-backs and other administrative and customer support functions as directed. Act professionally and exhibit courtesy, friendliness, and a positive attitude when interacting with co-workers, patients, patient's family, client staff, physicians and others. Follow direction and adhere to all company policies, procedures and guidelines. Qualifications Meet all state-specific and federal requirements for training, education, competency, certification and state license to perform portable x-rays, including one or more of the following. Registered with ARRT or, as a Limited Scope X-ray Operator. Has a valid state-issued driver's license with a good driving record.
