Research Scientist - Nanomaterials

UES, Inc. is seeking a Research Scientist to support inhouse
laboratories at our corporate location on a full-time basis. The
Research Scientist will work within a R&D team to refine and
scale-up existing nanoparticle production processes, as well as
participate in the development of new methods and materials in
adjacent chemical areas. Additionally, the successful candidate
will develop standard operating procedures for future use and will
identify best practices for quality assurance of any materials
produced. Experience with basic wet chemical methods as well as
characterization techniques for micro/nanomaterials are required.
Experience with surface modification of nanoparticles and knowledge
on basic rheological behaviors/analysis are also desirable. This
position occasionally requires working on-site at a government
facility and will require U.S. citizenship.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are a prerequisite
for employment. A successful candidate will be self-motivated and
capable of working independently between multiple groups, while
successfully collaborating with researchers from different
