business.Description: Hartzell Propeller is seeking a high energy
individual with a passion for aviation to fill an opening for a
Sales Representative on our Specialized Propeller Sales team. This
position is responsible for developing and maintaining ongoing
customer business needs and relationships. The primary focus of
this position is gaining an understanding of current customer needs
through face to face visits, telephone calls, and trade show
attendance. The Sales Representative will act as a liaison between
the customer and applications engineering, confirming design needs,
customer specifications and serve as the customer's advocate. The
candidate must be prepared to travel domestically, for customer
visits and trade shows.Key Deliverables:1) Establish self as a
performer in the eyes of the customer and finding the optimal
solution for the customer and Hartzell.2) Make and justify pricing
and forecast recommendations.3) Internal program management of
customer's development project.4) Continuous account management and
relationship building.5) Attend key industry trade shows.First Year
Success Factors 1) Maintain and strengthen existing customer
relationships, rapport, and goodwill.2) Manage customer development
programs internally and externally with appropriate communication
to the team.3) Technical understanding of highly engineered
propeller systems.4) Working knowledge of propeller/aircraft
development and US/foreign certification cycle.5) Exhibit clear
understanding of the products and market positions of all Hartzell
Aviation companies.
Requirements:
Education/ExperienceBachelor Degree is required. Technical sales
experience preferred. Technical Competencies1) Ability to sell
highly engineered manufactured products 2) Demonstrated project
management skills.3) Financial skills with exposure to margins,
pricing and product costs.4) Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. 5)
Negotiation Skills.6) Basic computer skills; (Microsoft Office,
Outlook, keyboarding skills, MRP/ERP/PDM helpful).7) Excellent
