ControlDescriptionSUMMARY: The Quality Engineer ensures the overall
quality of manufactured products. They test processes, monitor
quality standards, create documentation, devise quality tests, and
define the criteria a test result should meet. The Quality Engineer
monitors the quality of a process and the systems that drive data
collection and analysis while playing play a key role in fixing
issues when they arise. Must be the site leader in living and
driving the Company Core Values and High-Performance Work Culture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop both internal and
customer metrics to drive quality improvementDevelop specific
action items to improve both customer quality metrics and internal
scrap / spoilageAssess that the final products are safe, reliable,
and meet customer expectations while keeping the manufacturing
process as effective and cost-efficient as possibleCollaborate with
various stakeholders, including being the key interface with the
customers, ensuring that current and future business needs are
met.Responsible for leading quality improvement and scrap reduction
teams / activitiesLead and champion SQF pre audit and
complianceImprovement driven focus in Safety, Quality,
Productivity, Cost, and People DevelopmentDevelop and improve
quality systems and tools for repeatable and effective quality
controlDevelop and improve tools/applications to enhance data
acquisition and utilization of the QMSDevelop training and perform
coaching on the shop floor for all shifts and employeesPerform root
cause analysis to improve poor performing processes while building
cross-functional support for any proposed solutions and required
assistance from stakeholders and support teamsApply modern quality
principles and methods to assess and evaluate manufacturing
processes to include product/process design and controls,
producibility, process qualification/validation, requirements flow
down, manufacturing process requirements/documentation, measurement
and testing, product/process audits, statistical applications, and
lean manufacturingDevelop a mindset/culture of continuous
improvement in quality by developing time standards for QC data
collection and reporting, reducing rejects, reducing rework,
improving safety and environmental concerns, and reducing overall
risk to the organizationCoordinated resources assigned to projects
and ensured timely completion of deliverables throughout all
phasesIdentify gaps with SOP's and Job Instructions, advise/assist
with document developmentInteract with all areas of ICC in
understanding QMS requirementsReview areas of opportunity including
trend analysis of customer complaints and internal
non-conformances, and document control.Will follow Company
personnel and product safety requirements including standards such
as those from SQF and internal GMPs.Other duties as assignedAll
other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This
position will not have any supervisory
responsibilities.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job

specialized training.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and
comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos and the ability
to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information
one-on-one and in small group situations to and for other employees
of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate
figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area,
circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic
algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to
perform basic computer functions and use various software
applications in the QA department. Ability to generate and format
documents, tables and charts using MS Word and Excel. Ability
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to
carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
in standardized situations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands
and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The
employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel,
crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job
include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee
must be able to spend most of their workday in a production floor
environment.WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this
job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical
parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is
