    Tangram Flex is seeking a Systems Engineer with Program Management experience in the DoD sector working with complex legacy software systems and/or aircraft simulators. Candidate will also have significant experience working in/with DoD/USAF cross-functional teams.

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Maintain an expert level of program knowledge and application for Air Force modeling and simulation systems.
    • Assist in the articulation of program requirements, costs, schedules, features, and capabilities for Air Force modeling and simulation systems.
    • Developing and briefing data packages that provide analysis results to inform the government decision-makers.
    • Conduct system reviews and technical assessments that inform key technical decisions.
    • Identify and manage risk associated with technology development programs.
    • Organize and lead development efforts across multiple teams and physical locations.
    • Organize and conduct working groups, collaboration activities, and industry days to communicate, promote, and evolve system engineering initiatives and concepts.
    • Support identification and recommendations on migration paths for legacy system migration from decentralized to centralized states.
    • Analyze, model, characterize, and document current systems addressing design approach, networks and interfaces, proprietary applications, and all other information that will support adaptation to a standard digitally modeled architecture.
    • Work across multiple internal/external simulator teams, lead/drive initiatives as directed. DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

      Required:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, technical field, or equivalent experience in a similar military or industry role.
      • Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or software development working collaboratively as part of a high functioning team.
      • Experience composing, reviewing, and evaluating technology and architectural documentation.
      • Ability to interface with customers from both a technical and programmatic context.
      • Ability to convert vague customer requirements into a refined vision and detailed tasking for a technical team.
      • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Preferred:
        • M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
        • Existing U.S. Government Security Clearance
        • Interest in DoD Open Architectures.
        • Experience with Air Force aviation and simulation platforms.
        • Experience with Modeling and Simulation systems.
        • Experience with development, coordination and communication of system engineering strategies and recommendations.
        • Proven technology program leadership and delivery experience.
