This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your DoD Top-Secret/SCI clearance.

The Cybersecurity SME will provide on-site support to the Special Operations and Personnel Recovery Division (SOF/PR) of the Air Force Lifecyle Management Center (AFLCMC). You'll support a wide variety of projects involving Special Operations aircraft platforms, future aircraft modifications, and various Battlefield Airman support systems. You will interface with customers daily to develop project requirements; collaborate as part of integrated teams; and to brief, defend, and support project results. -

You must be comfortable in a challenging, collaborative, high-tempo, deadline-intensive environment to meet customer requirements. You will collaborate with government customers, internal/external cybersecurity organizations,and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) providing consultation, analysis, recommendations, and support. You must also have excellent listening as well as oral and written communication skills to work collaboratively with customers and colleagues.

In this role, you will:

• 
  
• Serve as an Information System Security Manager for one or more systems including Platform IT (i.e., aircraft and subsystems) and traditional IT systems (e.g., cloud-based supply database)
  
• Conduct cyber risk analysis on proposed system modifications/upgrades and provide recommendations to Change Control Boards, Cyber Working Groups, Technical Interchange Meetings, and other government activities
  
• Contribute to the development of a variety of technical documents requiring IT best practices and Cyber content including Risk Management Framework, System Security, and Acquisition Milestone artifacts
  
• Support cyber-attack path assessments and mission-based cyber risk assessments
  
• Develop customer briefings and support government meetings
  
  
  Qualifications
  To be successful in this role, you must have: -
  
  • 
    
  • A U.S. citizenship
    
  • An active DoD Top-Secret clearance with SCI (TS/SCI)
    
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related technical field required
    
  • A current DoD (8570/8140) Cybersecurity Workforce IAM Level II or equivalent civilian certification (CISSP) required
    
  • 7 years of experience in developing, integrating, and executing IT, Cyber, Information Assurance, Software Development, and Information Security policy and programs
    
  • Project Management experience across the IT system development lifecycle
    
  • A working knowledge of Department of Defense IT and Cybersecurity policies, instructions, directives, and technical guidance, including Cyber Test & Evaluation
    
  • A working knowledge of engineering considerations for Platform IT (i.e., aircraft systems)
    
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Cybersecurity Engineering processes
    
  • Experience with Software Development and/or Software Assurance processes
    
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
    
  • The ability to work in a highly dynamic, complex, and deadline-intensive environment
    
  • An excellent writing and oral communication skills
    
  • Innovative and driven work ethic
    
  • Travel approximately 10% of the time -
